Alan then sees that his once-prosperous hometown is now in shambles with homeless people everywhere, run-down shops and graffiti all over the statue of one of his ancestors. He goes to his father's shoe factory, only to find it an abandoned wreck. A hobo tells him that his father put everything into trying to find him when he disappeared because he loved him very much. Alan is later seen visiting his parents' graves.
